Canandaigua Wine Walk, Saturday May 7th
Grab a commemorative wine glass for $5 at any participating merchant, sample wines from Finger Lakes Wineries, and explore historic Canandaigua. All participating merchants are scheduled tentatively, this list may change.
No reservations required, just show up and look for the purple balloons at each participating merchant. For an easy list print the .pdf

Parent’s Night Out at the Y!

Photography Exhibit by Peter Blackwood at Wood Library, May 5th
Thurs, May 5th, 7-9PM, Peter Blackwood hosts his opening reception for his 6th annual photography exhibit at the Wood Library……complete with some Three Brothers winetasting! The show is titled ‘East meets West: Images of America’ with half of the images from the eastern US, and half the west taken last September.

Wood Library’s 17th Annual Teen Poetry Contest Now-May 31
Win $50, $40, or $30 for your original poem! Teens are encouraged to showcase their writing talents by submitting poems to Wood Library. The deadline is May 31 at 9 PM. Students in grades 6 – 12 should submit their typed poems with contact information (name, address, phone number, grade, and school) on a 3×5 card to Wood Library, 134 N Main St, Canandaigua, or email them. One entry per person. Five copies of poem must be provided if submitting it in hard copy. Contact Jenny Goodemote at 394-1381 for more info.
Fusion art exhibit at the Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery, Reception May 6th
The exhibit will open with an artists’ reception Fri, May 6th. Please join us and enjoy the colorful and artistic offerings of Peter Secrest &Patricia Wilder. Mothers’ Tea Reservations at Sonnenberg Gardens
Tea will be served at the mansion by maids and butlers in Victorian costume on Saturday, May 7th. This event features an elegant setting with a multi-course menu, including sandwiches, scones, sorbet and sweets. All reservations must be pre-paid by Wed. May 4th. Tickets are $24/person, $20/Sonnenberg members, $18.50 each for groups of 10 or more, and $14/youth (ages 4-12). Choose from seatings at 12:30 PM or 3:00 PM. 10th Annual Taste of the Finger Lakes Thursday, May 12th
Finger Lakes area restaurants, wineries, custom brewcrafters and specialty food vendors will be on hand offering delicious samples. In addition to the tasting booths, attendees will be able to bid on over 60 silent and live auction items to be auctioned off by Lauren and Brian Kolb. Benefits the Canandaigua BID.
